Position Type- Case Manager – Behavioral Health Services

Full‑Time (30–40 hours/week)

Work Schedule (NON‑NEGOTIABLE)


  • Monday:
    9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Tuesday - flexible
  • Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Thursday Flexible 
  • Friday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM (MANDATORY)
  • Tuesday and Thursdays are flexible to add up to additional three hours. 
Saturday availability is required. Applicants unable to work Saturdays should not apply.

Position Overview

The Case Manager – Behavioral Health Services is responsible for overseeing behavioral health cases and actively monitoring behavioral staff and therapist aides working with clients. This role ensures that staff activities, client interactions, and service delivery are structured, compliant, and consistent with authorized service plans and clinic expectations.

This position requires authority, decisiveness, and professional boundaries. The Case Manager is expected to enforce expectations, redirect staff behavior when necessary, and maintain accountability. This is not a peer, social, or support‑only role.

Core Responsibilities

Case Management & Care Coordination

Maintain responsibility for assigned behavioral health cases.
  • Ensure services and activities align with authorized service plans and documented needs.
  • Monitor case progress, service delivery, and continuity of care.
  • Coordinate referrals and resources as needed.

Oversight of Behavioral Staff & Therapist Aides (Required)


  • Actively oversee behavioral staff and therapist aides assigned to client cases.
  • Ensure staff activities and interactions are:
    • Appropriate
    • Structured
    • Within assigned scope
    • Aligned with service expectations
  • Provide clear direction and correction when staff behavior is:
    • Off‑task
    • Boundary‑crossing
    • Inconsistent with assigned responsibilities
  • Monitor professionalism, conduct, and adherence to role expectations.
  • Intervene promptly when staff are allowing unapproved activities or failing to follow structure.
  • Report ongoing concerns, noncompliance, or service integrity issues to leadership.
This role requires authority over staff behavior related to service delivery. Social relationships with staff must never interfere with oversight.

Client & Family Coordination


  • Serve as the primary point of contact for families regarding service coordination.
  • Support families with navigation, advocacy, and continuity of care.
  • Assist with coordination during behavioral concerns or service disruptions.
Documentation & Compliance


  • Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant case documentation.
  • Document staff involvement, service coordination, and oversight actions.
  • Track authorizations and service timelines.
  • Use electronic health records and case management systems appropriately.
Required Qualifications (STRICT)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or related field.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in behavioral health case management AND staff oversight.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee staff activities, enforce expectations, and maintain authority.
  • Prior experience working with behavioral staff, aides, or technicians.
  • Strong professional boundaries — not peer‑oriented management.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in case management or child welfare.
  • Strong understanding of community resources and social service systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to advocacy.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality.
